Unlike traditional programs for emerging artists, this initiative aims to support established cultural figures, artists, and researchers in promoting and disseminating Japanese culture abroad by covering expenses such as travel, accommodation, and activity costs.
The project targets specific and clear activity plans in fields under the Agency's jurisdiction, including fine arts, music, theater, media arts, traditional performing arts, and food culture. Successful applicants can receive up to 1.5 million yen, with a dispatch period of 20 to 80 days between October 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027. The application deadline is June 5 (Friday) at 23:59. Please note that applicants for or recipients of the "Overseas Training Program for Emerging Artists (Long-term/Special)" are ineligible due to duplicate application restrictions.
