The Yamaguchi Prefectural Health and Welfare Festival will host a Senior Art Exhibition from June 13 to 15, 2026, at the Hofu City Regional Exchange Center 'Aspiraut' 2nd Floor Exhibition Hall. The exhibition aims to promote a sense of purpose, health, and social contribution for the elderly. It will feature 137 amateur, unpublished works from residents aged 60 and over in six categories: Japanese painting, oil painting, sculpture, crafts, calligraphy, and photography. Awards include Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Hataratsuru prizes in each category, with the Gold Prize winners' works selected for the 38th National Health and Welfare Festival Saitama Convention in November. The opening ceremony will be held on June 13, where Gold Prize recipients will receive awards.
