The "High School and Junior High School Art Seminar" at Nerima City Museum of Art in Tokyo opens again this year. Launched in the 2025 academic year, the seminar invites artists, curators, researchers, and other art professionals as instructors to provide a multifaceted learning experience about the art world through workshops and lectures. The program for this year consists of 10 lectures held from May 30, 2025, to January 16, 2027. The lineup of instructors includes artist/Independent Educator Eimoto Toshiki, Producer/Tama Art University Special Professor Kuramori Kyoko, Contemporary Dancer/Choreographer Yamamoto Yu, sculptor Aoki Noe, cultural researcher/Yosei Women's University Associate Professor Yamamoto Hiroki, art collector/Yokohama Museum of Art Professor Miyatsu Daisuke, photographer/Tokyo University of the Arts Professor Emeritus/Member of the Japan Art Academy Hatakeyama Naoya, National Museum of Western Art Chief Researcher/Head of Conservation and Restoration Room Henmoku Naomi, the Museum's Director Ito Masanobu, and Ieyakiyama Museum of Art Tokyo Chief Curator Shiina Akifumi. There are two course options: a "Year-Long Course" requiring attendance at all lectures and a "Single Lecture Course" allowing participants to choose individual sessions. The Year-Long Course has a capacity of 30 participants, and all participants will receive lecture recordings, while those who attend all lectures will be awarded a completion certificate. The target audience is 13 to 18 years old (12 years old and up for first-year junior high students), and the application period runs until May 15.
