The film 'Nagi Diary', starring Takako Matsu and directed by Koji Fukada, will be released in theaters nationwide starting September 25. The film was selected for the competition section at this year's Cannes International Film Festival. Set in a town modeled after Nagi Town in Okayama Prefecture, the story follows a sculptor named Yoriko (Takako Matsu) and an architect named Yuri (Shizuka Ishibashi) as they confront their respective losses. The project originated from an encounter with the town of Nagi and the stage adaptation of the representative work 'Tokyo Note' by Oriza Hira.
