The art event "Roppongi Art Night 2026" will be held in Roppongi from October 31st to November 1st. Launched in 2009, this event transforms the streets of Roppongi, with its concentration of art museums and commercial facilities, into a festival of art featuring contemporary art, design, music, video, and performances. This year marks the return of the all-night event after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Venues include Roppongi Hills, Mori Art Museum, Tokyo Midtown, and other facilities in the Roppongi area. The event will also feature a "RAN Focus" on French art, inspired by "Nuit Blanche" (White Night), the origin of "Roppongi Art Night". The exhibition will be curated by José-Manuel Gonçalves, former artistic director of “Sancatle Paris”. The event will showcase a diverse range of works by both established and emerging artists. An open call for submissions, the “Open Call Project,” will also be held, with selected works exhibited as part of the event. Mori Art Museum Director and "Roppongi Art Night" Executive Committee Chair Masami Kataoka expressed her excitement about the return of the all-night event.
