The retrospective exhibition 'Eric Carle Exhibition: The Very Hungry Caterpillar' is being held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo from April 25 to July 26. In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the publication of the picture book 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' in Japan, the exhibition is held in collaboration with the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Massachusetts, USA. The exhibition displays original drawings from 27 picture books and approximately 180 items, including works from Carle's graphic designer era, dummy books created in the initial conceptual stages, and materials used for collages. To help visitors take the exhibition atmosphere home, the editorial team has selected 10 recommended exhibition merchandise items, such as handkerchiefs in collaboration with the German traditional craft brand 'FEILER'. The brand name 'Schneele' means 'caterpillar' in French, which is a delightful coincidence with the exhibition theme. The handkerchiefs are available in four versions at 3,300 yen (tax included) each.
