Exhibition 'First Time Appreciation of Ancient Art: Characters in Art'
Summary
To help those who feel that ancient Eastern art is intimidating compared to Western art, the museum has held the 'First Time Appreciation of Ancient Art' series six times since 2016, gently explaining the techniques and themes of ancient art. This time, instead of focusing on calligraphy works that are often avoided because they are difficult to read, the exhibition highlights characters embedded in paintings and crafts, such as artists' signatures, self-written or other-written praises, inscriptions, and patterns on vessels. Through this exhibition, the goal is to help viewers realize the importance of 'characters in art' and encourage them to become more familiar with ancient Eastern art. (Note: Exhibits will be changed during the period.)
