The Miyagi Museum of Art celebrates its 45th anniversary, having expanded its collection from approximately 700 to about 7,000 works. Focusing on Japanese modern art, it collects works by key artists representing regional and modern art history, as well as German Expressionism and other overseas pieces that influenced Japanese art. The exhibition displays selected works from the entire collection to introduce the dynamism of modern and contemporary art and its highlights alongside changing times. The event runs from June 20 to August 23, 2026.
