Art Basel 2026 Announces Highlights of Various Programs

Art Basel 2026 will be held from June 18 to 21 at Messe Basel in Basel, featuring 290 galleries from 43 countries and regions. The digital art platform "Zero 10" will also return for its third edition, curated by Eli Shine and Trevor Paglen. For the Commission projects, winners Nairy Baghramian and Ibrahim Mahama will debut new installations: Baghramian's "Modèle vivant (S'empilant)" (2026) at Messeplatz and Mahama's "The God of Small Things" (2026) at Münsterplatz. The Unlimited sector, curated by Luba Krichever of MoMA PS1, will showcase 59 works, including pieces by Isa Genzken, Helen Marten, Ed Ruscha, Cai Guo-Qiang, Yayoi Kusama, Miwa Koizumi, Junko Oki, Reiko Okumura, and Yuichi Higashi. The Parcours sector, curated by Stefanie Hessler, will present 22 site-specific works along Clara Street, featuring artists like Jan Hegenbarth, Sarah Crowner, Amol K. Patil, and Perazzi Bagdadi. Additionally, the Art Basel Awards winners were announced in April, including icons like Barbara Kruger and emerging artists like Aziza Mustafa Zaidan.
