As the second installment of the "ASK" (Art Spot in Kohoku) project by the Shiga Prefectural Museum of Art, this exhibition will take place from October to December 2026 in Kashiwabara-shuku, Maibara City. The exhibition features artist and sculptor Teppei Kan'ichi, utilizing historical buildings along the Nakasendo highway as venues for his diverse works, including sculpture, video installations, and paintings.
The theme, "Smoke and Mist," explores the intersection of artificial phenomena (smoke) and natural phenomena (mist), reflecting on the boundaries and possibilities that emerge between them. The exhibition will include new installations inspired by the history, landscape, and daily life of the Kashiwabara area.
