An exhibition marking the 140th anniversary of the birth of Shiozuki Toho, a painter from Nishitomiya City, Miyazaki Prefecture, is being held at Takanabe Town Art Museum. Around 70 works, including oil paintings and ink paintings by Shiozuki and artists influenced by him, are on display. Shiozuki went to Taiwan as an art teacher in 1921, helped spread Western art, and left a major mark on Miyazaki's art world.
