Summary
An immersive digital art facility named 'RÊVE DES LUMIÈRES' has opened on June 12 within the complex entertainment facility 'TOKYO DREAM PARK' in Ariake, Tokyo. This marks the first Japanese location for the 'Lumières' series, which originated from the 'Atelier des Lumières' in Paris and has expanded to countries including the United States, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Germany. The facility, which is the 10th venue globally, spans approximately 1,200 square meters and is equipped with over 100 Epson projectors and about 60 speaker systems. By projecting visuals and audio throughout the space, it creates an immersive experience that draws visitors into the world of the artworks. The opening program features a 40-minute presentation titled 'Van Gogh: The Masterpieces,' showcasing 165 works by Vincent van Gogh, including 'Sunflowers,' 'The Starry Night,' and 'Almond Tree in Blossom.' This special edition, based on content that has attracted over 3 million visitors worldwide, adds original Japanese visuals to depict the trajectory of Van Gogh's creation. Additionally, a 10-minute short program titled 'Gaudi: The Genius Architect Who Created the Sagrada Família' focuses on Antoni Gaudi's architectural world, introducing his masterpieces such as the Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló, and Park Güell through immersive imagery. This program serves as a reconsideration of Gaudi's creativity and architectural philosophy on the centenary of his death.
