The National Museum of Art, Osaka is holding "Sarah Morris: Transaction Rights," the artist's first large-scale solo exhibition in Japan, running from January 31 to April 5, 2026. Sarah Morris (born 1967, UK) is known for her geometric abstract paintings utilizing schematic grids, reflecting interests in networks, typologies, architecture, and urbanism across various media including painting, video, and site-specific murals. The exhibition will feature approximately 100 works spanning over 30 years of her career, including about 40 paintings from series such as the early "Sign Painting" series, the "Midtown" series, and a new large-scale mural painted directly onto the exhibition space walls.
