The exhibition, "Korean Art Treasure Box—Welcoming the Collection of the National Museum of Korea—," is a joint effort between the Tokyo National Museum and the National Museum of Korea, featuring 33 selected masterpieces from both collections. The exhibition is divided into two main sections: "Goryeo—Beauty and Faith," which highlights Buddhist art, metalwork, and celadon from the Goryeo Dynasty, reflecting the era's devotion to Buddhism and its unique artistic developments. The second section, "Joseon Dynasty Court Culture," presents court paintings that convey the king's dignity and the Confucian values of the time, alongside official robes and court attire worn by palace women and officials. Seventeen of the exhibited works are on loan from the National Museum of Korea, and 15 pieces are being shown in Japan for the first time.
