Yokohama Civic Gallery Azamino is holding the solo exhibition "Even If All the Rubble Were Cleaned Away Without a Trace" by photographer Sayaka Uehara, who is based in Okinawa, as part of the Azamino Photo Annual 2026 series focusing on contemporary photographic expression. This exhibition offers the first comprehensive overview of Uehara's nearly ten-year practice, which captures memories and scars appearing in landscapes, through four series of photographs comprising existing and new works. The exhibited works include the color series "Sleeping Tree" and the latest work "Mae no Hama," both shot in Okinawa, as well as the monochrome series "Green Room" and the color series "Green Days," shot in Taiwan. Related events include a dialogue between Sayaka Uehara and Yurie Nagashima, and gallery talks.
