Arts Commission Yokohama (ACY) has announced a call for applications for the “Connecting Creation: ACY Artist Fellowship” program for 2026-2027. The program aims to support artists in developing their careers through creative activities and presentations, while fostering new connections between artists, the arts, and the local community. Selected fellows will reside in Yokohama for one year, creating works inspired by the city, and will present their work in the second year. ACY and its staff, along with specialists from the Yokohama City Arts & Culture Promotion Foundation, will provide comprehensive support. The application deadline is March 12, 2026 (Thursday) at 3:00 PM JST. The program is open to individual artists in the fields of visual and performing arts who can communicate in Japanese. A grant of 1,000,000 yen will be awarded for each year, and two artists will be selected.
