Contemporary artist Kumiko Sato (35), who is based in Tokyo and originally from Kani City, is holding a public art creation event at the Prefectural Museum of Art's atelier in Gifu City. Sato is a rising young artist known for creating works from familiar materials such as cardboard and scrap. Sato graduated from the art department of Kano High School and Aichi University of the Arts, and completed her master's degree at the same university.
