The piece is inspired by the phrase "Let there be heat in the human world, let there be light in humanity" from the 1922 Suiheisha Declaration. The work explores the dual nature of light and heat—how they can illuminate or warm, yet also blind or burn—reflecting the complex energy exchange between humans, which can manifest as both love and violence.
The test play session will take place on June 21, 2026, at the Kyoto Art Center Gallery Kita. It is free to attend, requires no reservation, and offers a chance for participants to experience a portion of the work and share thoughts on its future development.
