The commemorative exhibition "Miracle of Gaze: The Adventure of Japanese Female Photographers" will be held at Hikarie Hall in Shibuya. Kicking off with the 2024 Arles International Photography Festival, this exhibition highlights the achievements of female photographers in Japan from the 1950s onwards. The show features approximately 200 works by 30 female photographers, including the 26 artists from the international tour, as well as Imai Satue, Iwane Ai, Fujii Aya, and Yoneda Tomoko. The exhibition will include installations by Iwane Ai, Komatsu Hiroko, Tawada Yuki, and Nagashira Yuri, video projections by Kawashima Reiko and Tomoko Ninagawa, and interactive displays by Satoko Sawada. During the exhibition period, talks by participating artists will also be held. Additionally, a related project titled "STILL/LIFE: The Afterglow of Silence" will be presented at Bunkamura Gallery 8/ on the 8th floor of Hikarie.
