The 29th Seta District Art Exhibition, organized by the Seta District Art Association, will run from July 29 to August 9 at the Seta Citizen Cultural Center Ajisai Plaza, directly connected to the south exit of Seta Station. Admission is free, with operating hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (starting at 1 p.m. on the first day and closing at 3 p.m. on the last day). Works are solicited from middle school students and above, and this year features about 140 pieces from both association members and the general public, spanning oil paintings, watercolors, Japanese-style paintings, sculptures, photographs, and more. On July 30, a family-friendly fan-making workshop runs from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., accepting the first 20 participants (family entries allowed) for 500 yen. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., performances such as dance, flat wrestling, and belly dancing are scheduled. Chairman Kazuyuki Miyazaki urges the community to recognize the creative activities underway and encourages visitors to feel inspired to create their own works.
