This article, the first of a two-part series, analyzes the group exhibition "The Logic of the World: Art of Our Time" at the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto (MoMAK). Focusing on the juxtaposition of Motohiko Odani’s "Phantom-Limb" and Tomoaki Ishihara’s "World.," the author explores the institutional reliance on visual dominance and its connection to gender asymmetry.
