The Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery will host the collaborative exhibition "Almost, Empty: Jun Aoki + Richard Tuttle" from July 18 to September 23, 2026. This includes moving the Teraoka Collection to the lower level and relocating the museum shop to the corridor, transforming the space into a unified area for the exhibition. Artist Richard Tuttle, renowned for his genre-defying work, has created three elemental structures using materials like void pipes and insulation, symbolizing nature. Aoki will utilize re-used plinths and custom-made furniture and lighting to arrange these elements, creating various spatial experiences through their arrangement and the interplay of light and shadow. The exhibition will also feature a selection of books curated by Aoki and Tuttle, as well as jewelry and goods designed for the show.
