Special Exhibition "On the Asymmetry of the Universe" to Be Held at teamLab Borderless. Two New Series Works First Revealed
Summary
In Tokyo’s Azabudai Hills, the Mori Building Digital Art Museum: Epson teamLab Borderless reopened its Light Sculpture – Flow space on July 8, commemorating the opening of a special exhibition titled "On the Asymmetry of the Universe" that runs from July 8 to October 8. The exhibition features the first public unveiling of two new works from teamLab’s Asymmetric Existence and Chromatic Existence series. The Asymmetric Existence piece pairs contrasting light sculptures in the mirror’s "outside" and "inside," creating a visual experience where the reflected form is asymmetrical yet perceived as a single sculptural presence by the viewer. The Chromatic Existence work streams red, green, and blue light through space, forming a sculpture defined not by material boundaries but by the order of color itself, making the space itself appear as a sculpture. teamLab Borderless, which moved from Odaiba to Azabudai Hills in 2024, continues its mission of a "museum without maps," inviting visitors to immerse themselves in art without boundaries and to wander, explore, and discover within a continuous world.
