Horror Experience Exhibition: World of Movie Art at Namba Sky O (Minna no Keizai Shinbun Network)
Summary
The exhibition "Horror Experience Exhibition: World of Movie Art" will be held from July 25th at Namba Sky O (Namba 5, Chuo-ku, Osaka City), 7th floor. The event, which focuses on the world of movie art themed around horror, allows visitors to "see," "photograph," and "touch" the exhibits. It was first held in Niigata Prefecture in 2024, attracting 32,000 visitors over 49 days, and was subsequently held in Tokyo before Osaka became the third venue. All artworks in the venue were directed by art directors active in the Japanese film industry. Sets that are often destroyed after filming are displayed here. The venue also features a "Art Note" corner introducing the behind-the-scenes of horror movies and the work of movie art. Spots reminiscent of the Showa 50s to 60s and a corner where visitors can touch asphalt, iron, rocks, and other sculptures are also set up. Opening hours are 10:00 to 18:00. Admission is 2,400 yen for adults, 1,900 yen for high school students and under, and free for children under 3. Reservations are required on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and during special periods. The exhibition runs until August 23.
