The Chushin Art Exhibition, organized by the Chushin Art Association, will be held from October 20 to 28 at the Matsumoto City Museum in Nagano Prefecture. Artwork intake took place on October 13, with local artists and enthusiasts submitting works in Japanese painting, Western painting, sculpture, and crafts. The exhibition accepts entries from the general public, junior participants (mainly high school students), and association members. A total of 260 works were submitted; after screening, 89 works from the general and junior categories were accepted, while all 165 member works (including posthumous pieces) will be displayed, making 254 works on view. Exhibition chairman Nakamura Kin noted the prominence of large junior works, expressing optimism for the future and inviting the public to view the creations of local artists in the Chushin region.
