HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE collaborates with Tate; 2nd "OPEN STUDIO" to be held in September
Summary
HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE has announced that it will hold the second "OPEN STUDIO" at Tate Modern in London on September 16, in collaboration with Tate. Inspired by the tradition of artists opening their studios to the public, this project aims to share the background and processes of creation while deepening engagement with local communities and global creative scenes.
The first installment took place in June 2025 in Florence, Italy, during the "Pitti Immagine Uomo 108" fashion fair, utilizing the Villa Medicea della Petraia to showcase research and manufacturing processes. This upcoming event will feature a special presentation inspired by the Tate Modern's collection. Moving beyond the framework of seasonal collection launches, the project seeks to explore new intersections between fashion and art museums, centered on the brand's philosophy of creating "universal and new everyday wear that caters to the wearer's diversity."
