Glass Installation by Ritsue Mishima to be Exhibited at Bottega Veneta Omotesando Flagship, Featuring New Works
Summary
To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Bottega Veneta Omotesando flagship, an installation exhibition titled "Bottega Veneta Weaving Light" by glass artist Ritsue Mishima will be held from July 30 to August 11. The exhibition will feature eight selected works by Mishima, who is based in Venice and Kyoto, along with a new piece titled "KOMOREBI," inspired by the architecture and light of the Omotesando flagship store. M Mishima has a long-standing relationship with the brand, having exhibited in various global Bottega Veneta stores and participating in the 50th anniversary campaign of the brand's signature "intrecciato" technique. Her exploration of materials resonates deeply with the tension found in the intrecciato method.
In conjunction with the exhibition, the store will offer the early release of new bag models: the customizable "Cabana Mare" and the new "Baby Campana." The "Cabana Mare" features hand-woven intrecciato by skilled artisans, while the "Baby Campana" offers a compact, reinterpreted silhouette within the Campana family.
