International Art Exhibition "TOKYO ATLAS" Unveils Full Program: Offering New Perspectives on Urban History and Landscape
Summary
The international art exhibition "TOKYO ATLAS," set to take place from October 10 to December 20 in the Tokyo Bay area, has announced its full program. Artistic directors are Tadasu Takamine (Director of the Kusama Yayoi Museum) and Akiko Miki (Director of the Naoshima New Museum). The title "ATLAS" derives from the mythological giant Atlas and the word for a book of maps, aiming to transform the act of touring scattered artworks into an experience of drawing a new map. The main venues are three areas: Odaiba, Tennozu, and Aomi. In the Odaiba area, artists include Yayoi Kusama, Leiko Ikemura, Kenta Ishige, Rui Mizuki, and Zhao Yao, with works such as Kusama's "Narcissus Garden," Zhao's "Something in the Air," and Ikemura's giant rabbit sculpture to be displayed.
